Rotator cuff(회전근개)는 shoulder 관절의 움직임을 담당하며 supraspinatus muscle(SST), infraspinatus muscle(IST), subscapularis muscle(SSC) & teres minor muscle로 구성된다.

Subscapularis

  • adduction
  • insertion: upper 2/3 lesser tuberosity, 1/3 inferior aspect of lesser tuberosity and shaft
  • transverse humeral ligament: superficial fiber of subcapularis tendon

Supraspinatus

  • abduction
  • insertion: greater tuberosity(superior impression), (additional insertion to lesser tuberosity)

Infraspinatus

  • abduction
  • insertion: greater tuberosity(superior and middle impression)

Teres minior

  • external rotation
  • insertion: greater tuberosity(inferior impression)
