Rotator cuff(회전근개)는 shoulder 관절의 움직임을 담당하며 supraspinatus muscle(SST), infraspinatus muscle(IST), subscapularis muscle(SSC) & teres minor muscle로 구성된다.
- subscapularis muscle만 lesser tubercle로 insertion, 나머지는 greater tubercle이고 서로 overlap 되어있음.
Subscapularis
- adduction
- insertion: upper 2/3 lesser tuberosity, 1/3 inferior aspect of lesser tuberosity and shaft
- transverse humeral ligament: superficial fiber of subcapularis tendon
Supraspinatus
- abduction
- insertion: greater tuberosity(superior impression), (additional insertion to lesser tuberosity)
Infraspinatus
- abduction
- insertion: greater tuberosity(superior and middle impression)
Teres minior
- external rotation
- insertion: greater tuberosity(inferior impression)
