인터페론 감마(Interferon-γ, interferon-gamma, IFN-γ)는 macrophage의 활성화에 기여하는 인터페론이다.

• NK cells and T cells로 부터 분비됨
• 분비 촉진: IL-12(from macrophages)
• 주요 기능
  • macrophage 활성화하여 포식기능 상승
  • Th2 cell의 분화 억제
  • NK cells 활성화하여 virus-infected cells 공격
  • 모든 세포의 MHC expression 및 antigen presentation 촉진
