염증은 해로운 자극에 대한 조직의 반응 과정으로 감염과는 다른 의미이다.

Acute inflammation

• 해로운 자극에 대한 초기 반응으로 자극받은 조직으로의 leukocytes의 이동으로 시작된다.
• Activated Macrophage가 IL-6, IL-1, TNF-α, prostagladins, leukotrienes 분비
• Luekocytes extravasation
• Neutrophils peak within 6hours, 그 이후 5~6시간 후 Monocytes, macrophages, eosinophils 도착
