HCC

Image findings

• Peripheral rim enhancement(early arterial phase)
• Corona enhancement(late arterial phase); venous drainage.
• Capsular enhancement(PV or HBP phase)
• Diffusion restriction
• high T2 signal intensity
• Defect on HBP(most of HCC)

Feature

• fat metamorphosis, capsule, mosaic pattern, nodule in nodule, portal invasion.

Tumor thrombus

• Thrombus enhancement
• Heterogenous and increased SI on T2WI
• Diffusion restriction
• Direct extension of tumor into the vessel lumen, and dilatation of vessel.

Fibrolamellar HCC

• central scar: low SI on T1/T2WI
  • FNH central scar: low SI on T1, high SI on T2WI
