체액 분포(Fluid distribution)는 다음과 같으며, osmolarity의 영향을 받는다

• Intracellular fluid(ICF): 약 2/3 of total body water
• Extracellular fluid(ECF): 약 1/3 of total body water
  • Interstitial fluid(ISF): 약 3/4 of the extracellular fluid
  • Plasma volume(PV, blood volume): 약 1/4 of the extracellular fluid
